It's a basketball anime.
There was a group of incredibly skilled, legendary players who all attended the same middle school (and thus the same basketball team) known as the "generation of miracles" (GoM). After middle school, they all went to different highschools, and now play for different teams. The titular character Kuroko was on the same team as the GoM and he joined a school Seirin and now plays for them.
