The aim of the thread is to be a tour de force argument that Mihawk is in no uncertain terms a bonafide top tier, and there are no reasonable arguments to place him below that status.

To demonstrate that the arguments used to downplay Mihawk (e.g. Posthawk) are intellectually bankrupt. Not only do they completely ignore the context around Mihawk's showings in Marineford, but they also suggest the absurd conclusion that Mihawk is Don Krieg level.

Mihawk's Marineford performance is often grossly misunderstood. For example, he didn't perform any worse than the logia trio. So if you place them above him, Marineford isn't sufficient justification.
