GHM will and imo even surpass his father. He'll earn the fire dragons respect and be pretty much one of the toughest oponnents commanding an OP army.

I wonder if we'll get a second incarnation of the Fire Dragons

1. Gouhoumei
2. Gaimou.
3. That strategist bitch(?)
4. Bashuri - God Bow of Wei?
5. Ranbihaku(?)
6. ?
7. ?

This meme perfectly encapsulates Gokei:

Nah I know @Owl Ki is a huge fan of Gokei. If Shi Ei didn’t exist Gokei might be my favorite Wei character. Badass General and excellent backstory.

His “this is why I can’t quit the business!” Line was legendary. Lol

As for him as a general, I do agree. Not only the best Wei General of all time, but also the personal vassal of one of the Four Lords. He was most certainly an enormous threat to all the surrounding states of Wei as Ouki said. Hara hyping Qin’s black star dragon only to have that guy instantly negged by Gokei was great. I would agree that he is Qin6/Zhao 3 level and the only Wei general truly worthy of that title.

In hindsight, I think Gokei may have served as a "Koshou/SHK" type of figure for the other 6 Fire Dragons where he directed the other 6.

Both Gaimou and Earl seem to lack any real skills as a general outside of their raw martial capabilities, and I doubt the guy who thought it was a good idea to kidnap Earl Shi's sister was that smart either.

Earl Shi actually did get some great tactical hype against the Gyoku Hou.

I would think Rei Ou would be their Koshou. Kyuugen said that he, Gokei, and Haku Kisai had ravaged battlefields when they were younger. Gokei was also quite the large and intimidating man himself. I see Gokei as a martial force in his youth who gravitated towards tactics and strategy as he grew older.

I think someone with a backstory like Gokei would have originally been a warrior in his youth, don't remember that Kyuugen quote, nice catch.(I also don't remember Kyuugen lol)

I only remember that Kyuugen quote because Baku Koshen has one of the most metal deaths in Kingdom lol. But yeah, Kyuugen basically said he and Gokei and HK had ravaged front lines together in their youth.

And Gokei fighting Duke Hyou matches this. The whole Qin army was in shock that a mind like Gokei had that martial power. Imo those truly lethal commanders are ones with both martial and strategic experience.

"his plans were rooted in actual practice. That is why he was able to defeat Ouki"
