EmperorKinyagiRespectable lists overall, my biggest hot take aside from my opinion of Arche Abbey is probably my Simon Manus take, I really don't like offscreen projectiles and feel like his phase 2 is kinda aids
EmperorKinyagiLaxasia would probably be my number 1 if her phase 1 were just a bit shorter but she's right behind Romeo and Nameless Puppet for me.
EmperorKinyagiand my mid and low tier bosses are probably the same as yours just not in the same order
TheKnightOfTheSeaThe presentation of Romeo's boss fight is astounding. It's not that hard, but it's extremely fun. I wish the Opera house was longer.
Nameless Puppet is Lady Maria with Sekiro parry, so he's pretty amazing too.
TheKnightOfTheSeai thought the level design was great, but the shortcuts got kinda repetitive lol
EmperorKinyagiYeah, post first playthrough I was in love with the levels in the game, and even though Im still pretty positive I definitely see the issues people have
EmperorKinyagiThe biggest problem with the game overall is the world design though imo, not the level design.
It really is very linear compared to FS games. Maybe even more linear than DS3, but Im not sure tbh
the amount of phase 2 health bars isn't an issue to me, the build diversity seems good to me, the weapons are all great, and the level design is good and engaging. the lore isn't the best, but the story has some nice elements.
TheKnightOfTheSeai wish there were some hidden areas but everything is ridiculously easy to find, except for maybe the King of Riddles door.
every souls game has one super-hidden boss/area, like Priscilla, Logarius, Nameless, Mohg, Malenia etc
EmperorKinyagiI dont have any major issues either, if anything the only reason I'd rate any soulslike higher is because it did something better not because of an issue with LoP.
EmperorKinyagispeaking of other soulslikes, I refunded Lords of the Fallen after the first boss fight.
There was a memory leak and the game almost bricked my fucking PC
i was considering checking it out but i heard too many criticisms.
Remnant 1 & 2 look good though.
One of the best compliments i heard given to Lies of P was
"It's not a soulslike, it's just like a real soulsborne game."
EmperorKinyagiRanking of every soulslike game I've personally played:
1. Nioh 2/Lies of P
2. Nioh 2/Lies of P
(gap)
3. Wo Long Fallen Dynasty
4. Nioh 1
5. The Surge
6. Mortal Shell
Haven't played any others, but I've also heard good things about Remnant
EmperorKinyagiNioh 2 and LoP are the only ones Im confident are better than some fromsoft games
TheKnightOfTheSeaI own Nioh 1, definitely going to check it out eventually
I'm replaying DS1 rn
lol thoughts on the latest JJK chapters?
EmperorKinyagiI would personally recommend skipping Nioh 1 and playing 2 since it's MUCH better imo. Since they share a lot of enemies you'll get burnt out if you play Nioh 1 first. Also recommendation: skip side missions in both unless you feel weak. They are all pretty much ass.
Nioh 2 literally took me like 50 hours before I really felt like I had a handle on the combat (it's MUCH more complex than any FS title)
EmperorKinyagiI like the latest JJK chapters.
I always wondered why people only use Domain Amplification to nullify Gojo's infinity when it's description makes it sound like it can mitigate any incoming technique, and then sure enough Higuruma and Kusakabe (simple domain is just less refined domain amp) use it to mitigate Sukuna's slashes.
EmperorKinyagiThe tool confiscation thing was weird, but overall I dont care that much since Sukuna probably already has the tool back now that Higuruma is ....
