TheAncientCenturionThe second Kizaru had a sympathetic panel-flashback after destroying Vegapunk's robot, it was kinda clear he wasn't a mental state.
EmperorKinyagiActually @Shiroyru , if Kizaru does actually become a good guy, I feel like that flushes the idea of Zoro/Sanji admiral fights since it’s obvious the navy are just important side characters and not actually 1v1 antagonists. That would be the worst part of it imo cuz I’ve been hyped for those Z/S fights for like 5 years
ShiroyruLol, I just shitpost about Admirals sometimes to counter the countless amount of Yonko shitposts from Lee and co
ShiroyruIf Oda really goes down the path of Akainu betraying the WG, than Oda needs to take some lessons from Gege about how to actually make your villains feel menacing
ShiroyruLuffy vs Akainu, Zoro vs Fuji, and Sanji vs Ryo are the matchups I’m looking forward to the most. I’d love to see these 3 remain loyal to the WG for their own reasons.
ShiroyruAkainu because he wants to eradicate all pirates no matter what. Fuji because although he recognizes the WG as being evil, he’d rather reform it from within and protect the world from the chaos that would result from letting pirates run amok (keep in mind that >99% of pirates are evil and selfish). Ryo because he’s fallen for the CD propaganda
EmperorKinyagiI want to see those fights to but because Oda is streamlining the story they probably wont happen
ShiroyruSukuna, Mahito, and Kenjaku are better written than any One Piece villain
EmperorKinyagiGege's villains are like 7/10 characters they're just elevated by the fact that they actually do their job as antagonists ("antagonize" the protagonists) and drop bodies
ShiroyruThe only truly memorable villains from OP are Doffy and Croc. The rest are whatever.
TheAncientCenturionMahito is bargain bin Ulquiorra and Ulquiorra is a wannabe Itachi
Kenjaku is somehow WORSE than AFO, didn't think that was possible
Sukuna is probably the best vers. of the inner demon trope we've seen but its still tired as fuck
EmperorKinyagiBut I feel like the memorability isnt attributable to quality of the villains themselves, just the author's ability to actually have them be a genuine threat
TheAncientCenturionI call it as I see it. His entire Shibuya fight echoed every sentiment Ulquiorra had in Las Noches
EmperorKinyagiDid TAC just compare Mahito to Itachi too????
Im perplexed
ShiroyruUsing Naruto as the standard isn’t fair since Naruto has objectively the best villains out of any mainstream anime. Even minor Naruto villains like Sasori and Kisame are as good or arguably better than the best One Piece villains
TheAncientCenturionLike how Koby is a wannabe Luffy and Luffy is a wannabe Goku, yes
