-ally he's not evil, he isn't a villain like Blackbeard and Imu, he's more of an antagonist.
He's still gotta go down though, because he ultimately did kill Ace and Luffy can't just forgive that even though it's what his job is.
Plus it's a shonen manga, so yeah he's fated to be killed/defeated by Luffy Sabo or Dragon later down the line no matter what he does

Akainu killed civilians at Ohara lol. He has definitely done evil things but I think he is nowhere near as bad as the Celestial Dragons.
