I don’t think I mentioned that specifically, but the repeat red attacks are why Lu Bu AND the other boss that can do that are the two hardest bosses.

But since you’re getting him to low health, you’re probably approaching victory 😎

He took me an hour or two first time but I actually dont struggle with him that much now.
There's a few side missions with gauntlets like Sekiro that have him in them.

there's also a harder version of him in one DLC side mission Guan Yu that is just Lu Bu but 2x speed and no horse

the nice thing about Lu Bu's mission too is that a lot of it is ignorable and it's really easy to just run straight to him
also higher base level more than makes up for low morale, so you can always come back and demolish him if you want

Also no shame in summoning for him, team ninja bosses have a higher difficulty ceiling than Fromsoft games generally. Tate Eboshi in Nioh 2, Ren Hayabasa in Nioh 1, and Yuan Shu in the last Wo Long DLC are some of the hardest bosses EVER for me ever. (Also aside from Tate Eboshi they’re complete bullshit lol)

Next up I think you’ve either got Taotie or the Tiger boss I think. Taotie is meme easy and the Tiger boss is difficult but nowhere near Lu Bu

The names are extremely repetitive and that's why I've always struggled with series like Ravages of Time that are based on the Romance of the Three Kingdoms

It has difficulty options, and the game is more focused on story and exploration than combat with a lot repeat human bosses and a grounded setting (no monsters or demons)
