@KiriNigiri I would actually defend them here, for many (myself included) the story is utterly uncompelling. If not for the sports game I wouldn't read One Piece at all. It's not that we've lost sight of the story and characters, it's that we stopped caring about them. The fanbase wars provides more entertainment than the manga itself.
