EmperorKinyagiI’d swap Maliketh and Godfrey, Also, what versions of Radahn and Malenia? Base or rot goddess Malenia? Base or hypothetical full power Radahn?
Lore wise destined death made all demigods wet themselves, but Godfrey was no demigod so i understand why you put him at top lol @Lee Ba Shou
Elder Lee Hung@EmperorKinyagi Goddess of Rot Malenia is > Godfrey I guess. She is an actual god in that form and not “just” a demigod. You put Maliketh > Godfrey?
@Blackbeard Radahn was also said to be the strongest “of them all” in his prime so there’s really no way to tell how we’re supposed to scale these characters lol. But I think since he wielded the death rune he was probably above a “base” Demigod like BoM Malenia.
Elder Lee HungI mainly put Godfrey on top because he was Elden Lord. Granted I think Radahn could’ve been Elden Lord too but he got robbed by Goddess of Rot bullshit lol.
BlackbeardI think Radagon, Godfrey and maybe Placidusax are the only beings in the lands between that can take out Maliketh.
Though I am afraid you are sleeping on Rykard, Malenia, and Mohg. They either commune with Outer Gods (Mohg and Malenia) or have fused themselves with a God-killer (Rykard) so they should be high up there in the scale as well.
Going to be crazy to see what a Dragon Communjng Demigod like Messmer is capable of.
EmperorKinyagiThe items descriptions refer to Godfrey as a demigod and as becoming a demigod, I think Maliketh’s statement about being feared by all of them applies here as well @Lee Ba Shou
Blackbeard@Lee Ba Shou wasn't it said Destined Death-less Maliketh killed Marika's counterpart that leads a Godskin army or some shit like that? This dog is too overpowered.
Blackbeard@EmperorKinyagi but Godfrey lost grace or something, and when you beat him it says legend felled.
Elder Lee Hung@Blackbeard i think that was DD Maliketh since he already wielded the Black Blade back then.
Maliketh is awesome. He’s like the guy that goes and wins the “dirty” battles that Marika doesn’t want anyone to know about. Godfrey wins the glorious battles against mighty foes, Maliketh wins the hidden battles against freaks like the Godskins. lol
And yeah Maliketh can really beat anybody theoretically.
EmperorKinyagiPowerscaling is lowkey one of my favorite parts of lore soulslikes I might be cooked
Elder Lee HungDark Souls powerscaling >>> Elden Ring powerscaling for me. Powerscaling the Demigods in Elden Ring gets quite weird, but powerscaling all the lesser beings can be fun. But I still prefer Dark Souls.
EmperorKinyagiOn a side note, @Lee Ba Shou have you seen the videos discussing Messmer's connections to Ningishzida the Mesopotamian god of the underworld, vegetation, and war? His symbol is twin snakes (it actually thought to have inspired Hermes' staff in Greek mythology) and it looks just like Messmer's
I feel like my original interpretation of Messmer’s actions and character from his voice acting alone ended up being lightning accurate from all the theories and such. Kudos to that voice actor for absolutely nailing the character.
EmperorKinyagiI feel like we can kinda figure out the general plot of the DLC from what we know about Miquella and Messmer. Miquella wanted to make a place free from the influence of outer gods and tried growing his own tree (a failure - the Haligtree) and Messmer’s inspiration had the role of burning down forests/tree so new ones can grow
EmperorKinyagiSo Miquella most likely went to the shadow lands to get something related to growing trees, probably that golden sap that’s falling from the shadow tree into that Sauron esque tower at the base
EmperorKinyagiFromsoft self plagiarizes a lot, so maybe at the end of the DLC Miquella makes the shadow lands a place free from outer god influence, kind of like how Gael’s lady painted a world free from godly influence
Elder Lee HungI’ll say it again, I think Messmer is a Golden Order loyalist. He is the complete opposite of Miquella, Miquella wants a world free of the Outer Gods, Messmer wants more Golden Order. Miquella was loved by Radagon and Marika despite being a “heretic”, Messmer was despised by Marika and Radagon despite being a “zealot”. Literally they are polar opposite characters.
Elder Lee HungThe only reason Messmer was exiled is because of his blasphemous ways (snake fraternizing, dragon heart-eating, blasphemy, potential Fire Giant genocide committer, etc.) he is as loyal to the Golden Order as Radagon himself, but his ways are heretical and vile. I’ll put money on it lol.
