That does not make sense. If Luffy uses FS, he sees the FS - whether there are fodders around him or not does not mean jack shit.

Big Mom was around Katakuri, did he have difficulties of using his FS consistently?

Apoo simply cheap shotted Luffy and Zoro from a distance whilst they dealt with fodders. Kata could not see Flampe's silent needle either.

Against Hawkins, he is not even trying..Zoro took care of the whole fight....Luffy didn't directly involved with him.

Against Apoo, he needs to know how the attack works...did you see he was surprised he got hit in the first place .......remember when Luffy used Snakeman for the first time, Katakuri had surprised expression about how did he get attack?...

I don't think Luffy can unconsciously use FS. He is not Kata, I think Luffy can only use it when he has full focus and when he actively use it.

Also, you can predict something doesn't mean you can evade every attack....Luffy is not tangible like Katakuri......and also FS is not omnipotent........no powerup is not without flaws and loopholes.....

@Sentinel Luffy has rarely used FS. Zoro warned him to be on guard before Apoo hit him the second time.

@Shura sure Zoro took care of the Hawkins fight, but FS Luffy should have reacted to Hawkins attacks first as they put Tama in danger.

@Shura this isn't an excuse. If Luffy had FS he should have reacted first. He should have seen Batman's attack first and caught the arrow or something, but he did not.

@Cinera which attacks you were talking about??...Zoro fought Hawkins the whole time....Luffy was covering Tama and Zoro was covering both of them

It's not that I don't think Luffy has FS, it's that his FS has been far from consistent. Whether or not Luffy uses FS in a given fight is 50/50. Even if Luffy could not see Apoo's attack, Zoro still warned him before Apoo's second attack, and Zoro is the one with inferior COO.

Zoro warning in this chapter has no significance to the current argument.....it is not like Liffy was unaware.....Luffy was the one who got hit first.....Zoro was just reiterating what Luffy was thinking....it was not as if Luffy was unaware of the attack coming....he was unaware about how the attack coming

Was he? I don't think that was clear. I expected FS Luffy to have reacted first and caught the arrows.

@Shura I don't think Luffy saw the explosion. WIth FS he should have. At the very least, he didn't act like he saw the explosion.
