I agree completely and I said that in the ER thread. For everything Elden Ring does perfectly, it falls flat on its face in another area and I think that about the final boss. It’s an awesome boss, I love it from both a bossfight and lore perspective to an extent, but Godwyn got absolutely fucked. He should’ve been Miquella’s consort, not Radahn.

We have been wanting a prime Godwyn boss for two years lol. And this was supposed to be his moment imo. Elden Ring’s version of the Twin Prince’s bossfight.
I definitely think the Radahn thing is a retcon. And I agree with Zio they should have made him more monstrous and given him more Bloodflame power if they were committed to this route.

it seems like cheap fanservice appeal. I bet their original plan was for the dlc boss to be a nobody in established lore like Gael or Orphan
