Not “loving”, but I initially hated Akainu & Blackbeard like any typical fan during Marineford. Probably one of the few times I’ve really hated fictional characters. Now I appreciate both as antagonists. There’s no character I’ve ever gone from hating to loving in any series.

Unlikely. I don’t see Shanks’ death matching because frankly…Oda has just prolonged it too much. So many people are already expecting it, and some are even looking forward to it for the wrong reasons. No matter what, it will also be unfavourably compared to Ace/Whitebeard and just be burdened...
