Shanks will "fall" to the final villain of OP. If it is BB, then Shanks will "fall" to BB. If it is Imu, Shanks will "fall" to Imu. AFAIK, Shanks doesn’t have a clue about Imu's existence. I use "fall" in quotation mark because once the dust settles, Oda will bring him back and say he was alive...
