Marco and Sanji were lying on the ground too, and were exhausted, but King and Queen (especially King) didnt finish them off, and went after zoro instead
King let Marco and Sanji to recover since King didnt finish them off despite them being exhausted and lying on the ground. On the other hand, King would not want Zoro to recover, what is this? Portrayal?
