Magellan embarrassed the entire Blackbeard Pirates crew. I really which we had an end game villian that felt as impossible to defeat like Doflamingo felt at the start. I remember it being a huge thing when Luffy finnally landed a punch.

I doubt awakening a fruit which biggest pro is against devil fruits, will do alot against a non devil fruit user. Or awakening the fruit has to be able to cancel out Haki aswell, which would make it broken beyond believe.

Oda can come up with some awakening bullshit that doesn't need the user to die, but Blackbeard to just grab it out of him.

I hope Luffy goes full Nika / Joy Boy powerup this arc and defeats Imu right here, completely finishing the Nika / Joy Boy story. Then Blackbeard shows up and takes Luffy's fruit completely away and we get a fruitless Luffy the rest of the story in his race against Blackbeard to become King of...
