You are not alone in this. You do have to know that we are watching Shounen series with a lot of goofy stuff and a lot of people watching shounen just like goofy... for me it makes me cringe and reminds me I am reading a kids comics.

Great post above and that is exactly the best aspect of Kingdom manga, the battles itself often arenot and are too chaotic and shounen like, but strategy aspect and so on is very interesting
