Aramaki looked like a snot-nosed bitch to Shanks on-panel and doesn't have the destined foreskinning to overcome that perception like Blackbeard. For fandom perception, at least. So it brings black blade stocks down to be associated with a character like that when previously you could head-canon...
? You sound ESL so I'll help you out.
Kizaru feeding KO'd Luffy:
1) implies he got up and was functioning sooner
2) implies he could have killed him
3) supports the idea he wasn't trying to beat him, maybe even hoping he'd lose
4) supports the idea he was mentally nerfed in Egghead in general...
My perception of the two being on even footing has changed. Kizaru mogs Luffy. Also, Oda is a hack for obscuring this fact in the manga to protect fragile condumbs.
This isn't rocket science and only requires looking 1 level deeper than the surface-level issue of the mink drug. It's an asspull solution to an arbitrarily manufactured problem. Remove the premise of the problem and you don't need to make up a deus ex machina item to address it.
That is some serious glazing.
Also, it's not the mistake you think it is. The actual hack job was finding a way to get Zoro off the roof in a believable way so Luffy can get his 1v1 for the usual copy paste arc conclusion. That was the purpose of Ocean Sovereignty. Mink cum is only a further...
This is like asking what would happen if G5 ran out and any non-fodder was standing over Luffy with a knife in their hand.
Kizaru hasn't once put his full attention on Luffy this entire arc.
But condoms gonna condom.
I don't stand by this but there might a pattern:
Luffy vs. Lucci
Zoro vs. Kaku
Sanji vs. Seraphim
Luffy vs. Kizaru
Zoro vs. Lucci
Sanji vs. Kaku (negged with gun lol)
Luffy vs. Saturn?
Zoro vs. Kizaru?
Sanji vs. Lucci?
But more likely there will be interference by more characters that arrive...
This isn't really comparable at all. This fight was more similar to the King fight, where Zoro couldn't do anything until a specific power-up. Give both Daz and Zoro a senzu bean right after that moment and Zoro one-shots. He took massive damage up until the power-up, but nothing bone breaking...
It's the opposite of plot.
This is Luffy's actual level.
It's only when he fights the end-of-arc baddie seriously that he gets a massive plot buff to all his stats. His ACoC and G5 stamina against Kaido has proven to be an anomaly after we saw him have issues with multiple fights in egghead.
