Imo Maki is just an advanced form of Haki, or at the very least a special kind of Haki that's born from evil and negativity, or just plain old bloodlust.

It could be a hint to how to forge a genuine Black Blade. Maki is demonic power and Domi Reversi is essentially transforming into your demonic self, so Black Blade is very likely forged by turning one's spirit into demon which in the case of Zoro could just be his Asura state, and then one's...

Looks like Imu could turn any weapon into black blade. Are they genuine Black Blades though, or just Maki infused blades? Is there even difference between them? Genuine questions that I feel Oda would just leave to an SBS.
