Oda just shouldn't have introduced Imu this early. His only options were, A:
Make Imu look way weaker than he reasonably should be
Or B: Make Imu look fairly strong for how he's portrayed, but at the risk of it being incredibly boring because he's just roflstomping everyone who gets in his way.
I really don't care at this point. Oda has recycled the same plot point of Luffy not being serious enough for decades. I want something new for Luffy's character
I would almost say that but Imu is saved only by the fact that he still has a few more tricks up his bag. So I'll be kind to him and say that fresh Imu at full power vs fresh Prime Gaban is a high diff for Imu.
So Oda isn't even the only author that's inconsistent with scaling? How shocking...
Listen, park, I get it. I get that this may be a hard pill to swallow after Loki got so much hype and he looked so big and powerful. With portrayal and feats like that he almost looked like a god tier. But that's why it's important for you to realize that Oda simply doesn't care about...
Even if the Gaban thing made sense, there's still him randomly being punched away by Hajrudin out of nowhere. And don't even give me that whole shpeel about Hajrudin being able to lift thousands of tons, either, because fucking Montblanc Noland could slightly push a huge landmass to free...
Sure, but again, the issue is Oda sort of portrayed Imu as someone who'd be considerably above Roger, especially if he's meant to be the final villain. Him mid diffing Loki and low diffing Luffy before was also likely intended to be proof of how overwhelmingly strong he is compared to all the...
A character having higher AP than another doesn't mean they're stronger than them. Powerscaling isn't simply who has the heaviest attacks, yknow.
I thought I said they were an extreme diff for Boundman Luffy?
Old injured Gaban shouldn't push Imu to a mid-high diff lol. I don't care if it's...
oh maybe you weren't part of the crowd that was jumping on me for saying oda doesn't care about scaling
i don't know, i'm very tired and i've got a slight headache so i'm not thinking straight
@John Akainu @Shiroyru @Sir Yasheen y'all mock me for saying oda doesn't care about scaling and probably never did, but honestly when you look back on the series you realize my take is objectively correct and has been for a very long time (in fact i'm kind of ashamed i only realized it now)...
logiko manages to still be funny and entertaining after all these years because he focuses less on acting like a giant manchild that's just constantly negative and aggressive and more on being a pretentious goofball who thinks he's on a higher plane of existence
