I wish I were. No matter how you feel about Ennies Lobby it is incomparable to things like Emeth with Joyboy’s Haki. I barely just switched the situation to make it resemble Egghead and you thought it was so bad that it’s over exaggerating.
Say what you want about Merry but at least we had set...
I like certain moments with Shanks. His speech at Whitebeard’s funeral (really “thoughts” since he didn’t say them out loud) is one of the best character moments in the series.
What Oda has done with the whole Figarland thing is so poorly done that it kills any continuing interest in the...
The problem is that nowadays we’d first get a silhouette of a ship in the distance with some random fodder saying “could it be THAT?!”
Then 5 chapters later with not much happening in between, we see a ship that looks like the Merry but has moose antlers instead saying “it’s me, the brother ship...
It would ironically be one of the few things the World Government did right if changing the name of the fruit somehow left Xebec in the dark.
Would still be weird though since Xebec seemed to know about things like Nidhogg but not Nika.
Maybe I’m being pessimistic, but it seems like it’s all...
The length wouldn’t be an issue if the pacing wasn’t so atrocious. I’m someone who loves long running series because of the sheer amount of entertaining content they can provide.
When a story is long not because it’s actually filled with things happening but instead is just material being...
Dragon. Sabo as his #2 will face Shamrock the #2 as well
The Holy Knights as the military branch of the Celestial Dragons were tailor made for the Revolutionary Army.
The Earth God is the king in the 1st World, so basically the Imu of that time. He was an enemy of Nika so that doesn’t fit for Loki/Nidhogg.
The king made some kind of deal with the Devil, that Serpent of old that brought destruction to the world.
Just because Xebec thought he could do it without the One Piece doesn’t mean he will have succeeded. The prophecy is about Joyboy, just as the Lunarians have waited for centuries. Xebec and Teach are simply out of the equation.
Besides that, one of the things he wanted was an ancient giant...
It is still Imu. It’s really beyond debate at this point. The best you could hope for BB is final battle, but the FV is the one that made the One Piece necessary in the first place.
Besides that, there’s not much left to discuss as long as Shiryu of the Rain the “small-time thug” is the best BB...
Oda’s pacing was always going to bite him in the ass. I’m sure Shounen Jump was going to try and milk One Piece for as long as possible, but inevitably it leads to the story looking unoriginal or a copy of those wrapped up years ago.
His power is anything connected to the Devil. Corruption, covenants, pentagrams, turning people into demons, etc.
Just look at any depiction of the Devil’s powers in pop culture and it’s probably something Imu can do.
This speaks to a larger problem with Oda’s writing post skip. Everything is just so messy and unrefined. I think even besides everything else like pacing, retcons, and what not; that’s the most disappointing aspect of current One Piece for me.
I’ll be honest, Gunko impressed me. I did not expect any of them to be able to take out all the Strawhats outside of the Monster trio like she did.
I expected that only their leader would be a top tier, then the rest would fill out the typical lower roles like lower Yonko Commanders. So far...
