Still waiting to see what continuous CoC brings to the table in terms of combat. If I'm not mistaken, it was referred to as "Advanced" in one of the Databooks. I feel like people forget that's a thing.
If they don't receive any kind of powerups, or some sort of major scenario happens, and Big Mom loses just because Kid all of a sudden gets rid of his headache, do you think that would make any sense whatsoever, given how the 5 v 2 went?
On WCI, when Big Mom was rampaging through the Country...
Have you guys not seen what Oda has done to Kaido just to get him setup for his defeat at Luffy's hands?
But sure, let's pretend that heavily injured Kid and Law are going to turn the tides and boot stomp a relatively full healthy Yonko, with no twists and turns added to the mix. :kayneshrug:
Man, we didn't sit through 80+ chapters of WCI for Big Mom to be taken down by a bump to the head, or any other BS scenario that could cause her to lose in such a trash manner.
We still need to see the version of Big Mom who was an anomaly even to her own children before that happens.
Lol, I'm not arguing who is and isn't going to win. I'm telling people to stop being so naive as to act like just because Oda is providing a setup that implies Kid and Law are about to turn the tides, it means jack shit, because Oda loves doing those kind of scenarios, and then doing a complete...
That don't fucking matter. It's going to take a lot more than Kid getting rid of a headache for him and Law to stand a chance of beating Big Mom, whom they can't even damage in the slightest at the moment.
If you think so. Just don't fool yourself into thinking Kid and Law's chances just jumped up 10 fold because of this. It'll still take a miracle for them to beat her if she drops the kiddy personality, and gets serious.
Well, Hawkins is a tricky one to powerscale, because a lot of his combat revolves around him drawing cards to augment himself or have adverse effects on his opponent. He could be "strong" in one encounter, and "weak" in another.
Luffy: "Don't worry guys, go back downstairs, I got this."
*Just a few chapters later*
Kaido: "Gomu Gomu, what?
Killer: "You got this partner."
Fandom: "OMG, Big Mom is fucked now!"
How many times can Oda troll the fandom with the same scenarios, before people learn?
Big Mom used it against Page One because she was actually being serious in that situation.
She's clearly just toying with Law and Kid right now. Even going as far as laughing at the prospect of him "dying" without her even having to do anything.
There is two different personalities to Big...
Sometimes I feel like people forget that even though Big Mom is 68, she still has the mentality and maturity level of a Child.
Like did, people read WCI and her flashback, or did yall just stare at the pretty pictures of a 68 year old woman dancing through the streets with talking fucking hot...
So now that Meitos are important in comparison to normal weapons, after the Sanji/Queen encounter, are yall ready to accept that Killer was more nerfed than Zoro in their fight? Killer used two normal ass scythes, against a man using two Meitos. Then Zoro took one of Killers scythes and used...
I'm not sure I'm following you. Are you saying that incorporating actual real World human emotion, and having it play an integral part of a characters growth, tribulations, and inner turmoil, is less logical than the "I'll suck it up because I'm a tough guy" trope that riddles fictional...
*What people were expecting this Chapter*
Sanji: "I accept Germa with all my heart, and will now defeat Queen!"
*What they got*
Actual emotional turmoil, that doesn't get resolved in 10 seconds, like an 80+ chapter arc dedicated to said powerup was going to be wrapped up in a panel or two...
If I had to guess, it might be because he is gathering everyone else to the live floor, and he wants those two fights to go uninterrupted.
Also, he might want to end both of them in some sort of grand fashion, which wouldn't be feasible with so many people around.
Damn, Oda wanted to separate Sanji and Queen from the live floor like he did with Zoro and King, but realized he made Sanji too strong for him to get sent flying out the room, so he had to go with plan B.
