Doesn't really make a whole lot of sense that the most cautious man in the World, who is scared to death of this prophecy coming true would take center stage in the middle of Momonosuke's execution, knowing that the scabbards are on the Island, and won't let Momo die without a fight.
But they got to witness it. The scabbards are stuck on the shore of Onigashima at the moment. They're going to show up and be like "Prepare yourself Orochi! It is time to di...... Oh.... Well then."
His punishment should come at the hands of those he wronged the most. Those who were prophesied to do it. The scabbards aren't even present to witness this for christ sakes. Pretty anticlimactic for them, don't ya think?
Oda doesn't like killing villains, and it's not because he is 100 percent opposed to killing. But it's because he believes they should have their dreams crushed and live with that knowledge. For some it is a fate far worse than death.
But even if Oda does decide to break that mold (I know...
One question no one has thought to ask yet is, since Orochi has 8 heads while in Zoan form, does he have to have his real head out while in Human form? Or can he create 8 heads that look identical to himself, and swap them out at will?
There HAS to be a gimmick to his DF, as it is a Mythical...
Probably not. Toriko was a fairly bloody Manga, and Toei completely PGed it. I hope they show it though, as this is a first time we've actually gotten something this extreme in One Piece. So maybe their grow a pair, and show it in all it's glory.
It'll at least be a step in the right direction. Perhaps even a precursor of something to come. Oda has been getting balsier lately with ramping up the blood and gore.
We can all at least reach a common ground that whether the dude lived or not, Oda still drew Kaido cutting his head clean off. So it's a win win regardless.
Orochi is a Mythical Zoan, and Oda has yet to showcase it's special ability. Honestly I'd like to see him alive cause it'll be interesting to see what route Oda goes with his character now that he's completely lost the backing of Kaido.
Kaido could have easily killed Orochi with his club. Yet Oda slyly has him use a Sword to behead him. The dude with a nine headed serpent Devil Fruit. Get woke people.
Well considering no one believes Orochi is actually dead. I'm not going to look forward to your posts about how "Zoro finished the job when Kaido couldn't" when Zoro finally does end Orochi later this arc.
