Nah, as @Trafalgar_D_Law said, Law was introduced as "the dude". He went from lifting ships, popping out hearts and cutting mountains using spatial hax to using "Gomu Gomu no Saber". I definitely think that his Awakening moveset needs some creativity from Oda's side but it's just my opinion.
