I’m the kind of person who thinks that like a 5.5 or a 6 is average.
I’ve also always been more oriented towards dialogue and character development > action. Good action alone can’t make something higher than a 9/10 for me. This chapter pretty much hit the bench mark for peak action in OP...
I mean ranking the chapter a 9 or a 10 just cuz it’s the 1000th chapter is fine I guess.
But if we’re being honest and objective with ourselves.
it was more like a 7.5 or an 8
I literally made a thread of Kaido vs 2-3 admirals without ryou/advanced haki and tons of people in it said that Kaido would win in that situation.
Well the evidence at hand suggests that the admirals don’t have penetration haki. Let’s see how many people are consistent with their word.
Didn’t the One Piece volume descriptions and the introduction text boxes also say that Don Krieg was the strongest man in East Blue?
Not sure if that’s what your sourcing, but I don’t know how reliable those are.
I mean given that Marco was already shown sending Kizaru flying, why would it be...
Cringe. In the manga it looks like Akainu is the one who backed down, not Marco.
The first time Sakazuki attacked Jimbei when Jinbei tried to save Ace, Jinbei didn’t even get pushed. Jinbei didn’t even use hardening to block the attack. The second time Sakazuki attack Jimbei, he was literally...
Marco didn’t get sent flying. That’s anime only.
During the initial clash Jinbei didn’t even get pushed back. Sakazuki mortally wounded Jinbei while he was carrying Luffy and running away. For comparison, Big Mom sent him flying in their initial clash.
We don’t know if Curiel got one shotted...
I mean yeah, Akainu can damage him. But not casually lol. Curiel tanked a hit from Akainu, Jimbei blocked Akainu, and Marco blocked Akainu twice.
Akainu needs to start cranking out hell hound blaze, and dai funkas before he can start hurting Kaido.
