Drunk Kaido seems to be in disadvantage from a lucidity standpoint which is a quite relevant factor in a battle of such degree.

But I'm reasonable :choppawhat: I just tend to be impartial unlike many run by their biases

I think Oda portrayed this scene about Kaido in order to foster his classic pirate-like personality once again. He looks quite classic pirate like and he shares some deep traits with Teach actually.

Drunk Kaido kinda feels like a way from Oda to stall the fight imo and also hint that Luffy is pr not good enough in Base to defeat Kaido hehe
