The thing is Law actually had his own stand out moment in the fight this episode with him being the only one fending off Big Mum's attack at all.
Also, Kaido actually fighting and hitting Luffy with stuff besides his club is nice.
The animation in Wano has never been better. This episode for example blows the animation from every pre-time skip action episode out of the water, and thats even considering the Ryo Onishi episodes in Sabaody like episode 404 and 405.
This is a good action episode for One Piece. I never went beyond that. There are tons of anime and movies that have better animation.
The reason I'm repeating this is because of comments like this.
This is easily one of the strongest episodes of the entire series by EVERY METRIC. The quality...
Sometimes they go too far.
Don't think they went too far this episode. At least not generally. The worst aura tends to be that pitch black aura that is sometimes used to symbolize armament haki. You literally can't see anything when they use that.
Average One Piece fan when they see animation.
The animation was executed well and made the fight fast paced and exciting. The action was better this week than in episode 1017 despite 1017 being better animated.
I imagine that will be more highlighted next week where its explicitly brought up.

??? Luffy really stole the show this episode. His fight with Kaido was the absolute highlight of the episode.
Will say I do think that Big Mum actually did feel really threatening, taking on the other...
The debris animation was used well here to create depth to the image by creating a more obvious foreground, middle ground and background to the scene.
One Piece does not have any uniqueness in its action choreography sadly. Its more dependent on its story and the uniqueness of abilities than...
Honestly, the action this episode was leaps and bounds better than the manga.
Episode used the chaotic nature of the team battle way more effectively than the manga with characters cutting in and out of the fight quickly and effectively showcasing the team work between both the emperors and the...
This was an excellent episode but I do feel worried for some of the animators who are getting fatigued putting out episodes like this alongside sporadically doing other stuff.
Tu Yong Ce in particular comes to mind. He has been working non-stop on the series and doing a crap ton each time. He...
This is a massive step up from the action in the manga. The One Piece manga does not have good choreography. Even when animating One Piece action at its very best, lifting pretty much directly from the manga, you get something like 1017. I think the action this episode was not as well animated...
Awesome episode.
Despite not covering a terrible amount it still felt like a fast paced episode.
Even though this wasn't as well animated as 1017, I think the action was honestly a ton better.
Like, damn, this is just a fantastic action episode and episode generally.
Next episode won't be as...
