Katakuri is referred to as Linlin's officer and sweet general. He doesn't get the honour and designation of being recognized as a vice captain/right hand/first mate because he doesn't measure up. To Linlin and Oda he's no different than Smoothie, albeit stronger.

I place Doffy higher than most people for instance, I have him weaker than all the YC1 but stronger than other commanders. He gets folded by King tho. No shame in that, 99 percent of the people do.
