I mean to be completely fair, BM was about to die from a fall, so there was room for physical stuff.
But if the force of her fall could be replicated like that, the wedding scenario loses even more credibility than it already had.
Their problem is not understanding what Kid is doing, their question is why suddenly physical damage is hurting Big Mom when the entire WCI wedding plot was surrounded around BM not being able to hurt by physical stuff.
Thunder Bagua is literally advCoC technique, after executing the technique, a trail does not have to remain, see Zoro vs King in ch1036 when he did advCoC Onigiri, or used advCoC to push King away.

Just because it sometimes happens does not mean advCoC leads to fainting every time.

Kaidou knocked Luffy out in 923 around fodder, nobody except Luffy fainted.
BM knocked P1 out with advCoC around fodder as well, it does not have to spread.
He has the worst chances against Kat due to FS.
Luffy with better speed, better CoO than Law could not tag Kat unless he was distracted who in turn has a Logia body and can ignore most of Law´s arsenal.
Your distinction only makes sense vs Kizaru though since otherwise, where is BM gonna find just magma, ice and so forth laying around?
It would make sense that, if she knows she is going to fight specific opponents that she goes on a search and then create specific homies but even if you do...
