The cover story is no indication of Yamato joining, but it's exciting for Yamato fans because it looks like it will either bring closure on her status or set her up to join.
Hence the grand fleet being part of his power. It doesn't really count if he has tons of help. Like Roger never surpassed Xebec because he needed Garp's help to win. Do we really want that with Luffy vs Blackbeard?
Only side characters I want to see in the blackbeard war are the grand fleet. Luffy needs to prove himself the stronger yonko, not coast by on a bunch of allies taking out half the top brass. Coby or Sabo vs Kuzan, for example, would cement the strawhats as lesser than the blackbeard pirates.
Look I'm not saying it has to happen, just that she already has a perfect matchup if she does join.
As far as warcury, it's more that he's the one in the middle, acts as if he's the one in charge, and his name is literally top man. Maybe he's not the strongest, I just said presumably.
All I'm...
Because it's a reacreation of the mountain god incident and because he's presumably the top gorosei but also not Luffy or Zoro's opponent, so no other strawhat makes sense for the matchup.
She has a dream and a role, which is more than most characters, but she has no flashback and no villain for Luffy to defeat, plus she's a non-combatant, so I doubt it.
They ran away in WCI but Luffy still had a huge fight against Katakuri. The other gorosei showing up is actually what makes Luffy vs Saturn more likely because now Saturn can go down and the strawhats still have to run away.
As for not being able to beat him, there's obviously some trick to the...
I'm not counting out Luffy vs Saturn still happening in egghead. Despite the other gorosei showing up, Saturn still has all the setup as the big bad of this arc. Luffy needs to beat him to resolve Bonney and Kuma's plot.
Luffy vs Saturn still in this arc, Zoro vs Venus, Sanji vs Mars, Jinbei vs Jupiter, and Yamato vs Warcury. I think it actually lines up perfectly if she joins.
I'm still undecided on if I think Yamato is a Jinbei situation or not, but you can't deny Oda already set up perfect opponents for her in both of the end of series factions that don't fit for any other strawhat with Kuzan and Warcury.
This was an amazing chapter for @Rambles , looks like Lucci may betray the WG after all. Only thing is that betraying them to rescue Kaku cements them as a pair, and clearly they're not BOTH joining. So my stance is still 0% chance, but congrats on the HUGE agenda win anyway:kata:
This. Unrealistically big boobs and shit like that are the opposite of attractive. No human woman looks like that. It's more like some kind of weird monster.
