Depends how long the "epilogue" or "post-arc" period lasts.
Between the goverment, Big Mom pirates, opening the borders and probably other plot points, we could easily get another 15-20 chapters of tying loose ends and setting tuff up for the next arc.
I wish, but you saw how much things were rushed in the latest chapter.
At this rate next chapter is when Fukurokujo and Hawkins go down, next chapter King and Queen, next chapter Big Mom and then Kaido, 4 chapters total :josad:
Kaido is the one that has the most questions to answer, which is why people want/expect a flashback for him.
- The Oni/Ogre race. - This could be covered if we see a bit of his childhood
- What's up with his philosophy and fixation with dying. - Could tie back to the Onis but also his time...
I don't think it would be fair to say Luffy vs Katakuri took 8 months so Luffy vs Kaido has to take just as much or longer, the structure of the arcs is fundamentally different.

The final battle itself will most likely end somewhere in 2022, probably late 2022 if we actually get a decently sized Kaido flashback. After that i could easily see Wano going on for another 10 chapters or so to wrap everything up before they actually leave, so 2023 is completely possible.
You're overestimating how much time Oda would give to non-Luffy fights.
Not only was Katakuri a Luffy fight, but it also took several hours of in universe time where everyone else was trying to escape and not having 1v1 fights themselves, so we ended constantly cutting away from it.
With all...
