I honestly thought I'd never rank a chapter with 5 stars after chapter 1035. Specially after the whole Nika bullshit. But this chapter was actually gold.
Yea Oda knows pretty well what it is to be a man and to literally drool over women to the point we are useless against them. And we are pretty much talking about Kuja Pirates where no one has the ability of Hancock to petrify people.
Here Oda is pretty clear that the captain of Kuja pirates MUST also being the prettiest. So Shakky being the next captain makes totally sense since she was already stronger(prettier) than Gloriosa. And the same reflects to Roger pirates with Rayleigh not only being the only not affected by their beauty (not simping) but also being the only who gets the affection of the prettiest Kuja pirate. And I make a call back to Whitebeard being stronger than Xebec by the simple fact that Whitebeard once had the World Strongest title while Xebec so far never had it.
We see how Roger used to be on his young pirate days. Totally FREE! He do what he wants and he doesn't need a reason for that. He pick up a fight with Kuja pirates simply because he is "in love" with Shakky's beauty. And then he switches focus to Garp simply because he is a fighter addicted.
Luffy could never be like that but in his defense only because how manga structure works. One Piece would be a total mess if we had Luffy acting like Roger picking up random fights for no deep reason at all. We wouldn't have the arcs and saga structures that we have. We wouldn't have the emotional satisfy when defeating or losing to a villain.
We already know that one of them were the one inside Elbaf's treasure and my bet is that the other was the one at God Valley's incident and like Ginny (it was her right?) said is in the strongest CLASS of Devil Fruits (Mythical Zoans or even Zoans as a whole). That would be Kaido's DF.
But now what was the DF inside Elbaf's treasure? My guess is that it was Luffy's DF itself. Imu killed Harald 14 years ago because of that DF. Then CP-9 agents were responsible to carry that fruit but Shanks stole it from them and went to East Blue to ran away.
Well I'm actually happy that such a chapter gave me joy to talk about all those things again. I'm not hopeful that it will continue like that but is good to enjoy it when it happens.
EDIT: I forgot to talk about Gaban being a simp and how he had to change it, probably learn with Rayleigh just like Roger also did, in order to get himself laid. Well that's it, Sanji will have to learn it too. Don't simp!!!
EDIT 2: How could I fucking forget, Teach's DF could also be a possibility to Elbaf's treasure. Maybe the only DF who counters Nika would be trapped at the nation who worships him the most in order to protect him.
