I have read an interesting thread on X(Twitter) that theorized Mu’s world and that Imu gave up his human body to the Devil from the first world(Mu) manifested through a Devil fruit.
The final goal is to summon the Devil itself upon this world which interlocked in an eternal war against Nika.(this is where that thread ended)
The Devil; Mu has two companions, world ending devils who also are masquerading as devil fruits, the Devil of the Yami Yami no Mi and the Magu Magu no Mi.
When Mu is finally summoned to this world, Imu will die, Blackbeard and Akainu will fuse completely with their devils turning into world ending demons that must be defeated alongside Imu. Akainu will turn into a magma monster similar to Surtr and BB will turn into a darkness monster.
This trinity are the final villains of the series
