Fire Manipulation
Users with this ability are capable of controlling, shaping, but can also materialize flames seemingly from thin air. Depending on the user’s skill level with their ability, the size of the flames created can vary, ranging from tiny orbs the size of the user’s palm to flames capable of scorching the surface of an entire planet, if the user has the capability for it. Applications of this ability have the potential for devastating effects in the hands of a skilled practitioner, but users also must possess sufficient control over their own abilities as a prerequisite.

Do note that practitioners of this ability are not always guaranteed to possess immunity to their own flames. They could potentially inflict severe burns on themselves by accident should they lose control over their own powers!

Users of this ability may run into certain limitations, which are listed in the section below.

Possible Limitations
  • Water: Flames are typically extinguished when it makes contact with water, immediately neutralizing it by lowering its temperature to the point where combustion can no longer happen. As the presence of water consistently cools down the flames, users of fire manipulation may find it challenging to maintain or generate when it rains outside. Obviously, this would mean that any attempts at generating flames would be out of the question if its user runs into a scenario where they find themselves being submerged underwater.
  • Oxygen Deprivation: Fire cannot be sustained without an oxidizing agent, typically oxygen/air. Without the presence of oxygen/air, combustion ceases, and fire cannot be produced as a result. In an environment that lacks oxygen, Users of this ability may find that their powers have been rendered ineffective.
  • Loss of Control: Uncontrolled or careless usage of their flames can result in severe damage to allies or the surrounding environment, even if it was unintentional. A user whose ability to maintain full control over the direction or intensity of their flames can run into the unfortunate scenario of accidentally setting a nearby person on fire, leading to serious injury, and in some cases, even death.
  • Reliance on Existing Fire: Whether due to a lack of ability or limitations in the capability of their powers, users can only control existing flames in their surrounding environment. As a result, users can often be seen relying on equipment/outside sources such as torches, lighters, and even from spontaneous events such as explosions or campfires. Users would find themselves at a significant disadvantage against an opponent without access to an already existing flame, as they would be unable to use their ability at all.
  • Limitations on Capability/Equipment: The quantity and type of fire that can be controlled depends on the user’s experience level, physicality, and the surrounding environment they are currently in. Environmental factors such as wind, humidity, as well as lack of oxygen can reduce the intensity and range of the flames created, but the absence of required equipment can also contribute towards preventing the user from initiating any of their abilities effectively during combat.

You know you use Fire force as an easy reference.

Fire there be bending time and space.
:finally:
Honestly, I am still surprised (and disappointed) that I still haven't gotten around to reading Fire Force yet.

Anything over 400 chapters tend to test my patience these days. Unless the first couple of chapters that I read grab my attention right away, I usually lose interest in continuing it.
