I would say Escanor - The One could top him, but that lasts an incredibly short amount of time and Akainu can last fucking ages in battle, so there's that too. At any other time of day, Akainu wins.

Also, Escanor doesnt have Haki so.... can't even hit him

Why he should? As much as I like Escanor and dislike OP cha's, Akainu is'nt as stupid (or drunk) as Galand was. He will not underrestimate Escanor or give him a chance to hit him with Rhitta because of his kenbunshoku haki. The only chance for Escanor is his The One form and maybe by tanking one of Akainus magma fist's he can land a hit. Without The One Akainu mid diffs Escanor via better stats.

Only problem is the Intang from Akainu. Featwise, we don´t see much to put him on a level with Escanor, and we don´t even know Akainu his full potential. Without Logia-Intang, Escanor would indeed slaughter him, but... he has no way at this point to put Akainu down, so Akainu wins this.

I don't understand why when fans do verse battles one character has to be nerf in order for them to stand a chance. Akainu is a logia so his Intangibility is part of his powers.
