It's a crazy coincidence that Akainu also has tattoo on his left arm similar to Holy Knights:





I think it's a low chance that Akainu has a contract with Imu, but still it's an interesting coincidence.

Oda probably did it stylistically to show that Akainu is loyal almost like Holy Knights, thought I think there is a small chance Akainu might rebel vs Government at some point.

Didn't sword members give resignation so they would be known so they can be sacrificed? That would be a dumb move by Oda lmao. Maybe he was formerly a sword member. Also Oda choosing the left arm for the bigger tattoo instead the right arm is interesting.
