Welcome to the first ever anime awards done in WG!

So for these awards I was thinking of taking the Crunchyroll format and categories. Not all of them will appear but by user request we can add or remove categories as we see fit.

Differently from the Best Female Character Ranking I was thinking we could approach this in a different way.

In each of the categories presented we can nominate ourselves to be the "caretaker" of that category, i.e., you'll select a category and then select 6 entries where we'll all vote and decide the best anime/character in the category.

As an example, let's say I choose the Best Romance category to be in my care. So the next step is for me to select 6 anime that I think are the best romance of the year. After this, we'll all vote to select the best romance anime, with 1 vote each person.

Naturally try to select a category you feel comfortable with and present it to me so I can make a poll out of it. This should be a different kind of fun in relation to the female character ranking. It depends on the number of users but I think selection up to 3 per person should be enough give or take.

The categories I have in mind are:

• Best Main Character
• Best Supporting Character
• "Must Protect At All Costs" Character
• Best Opening Sequence
• Best Ending Sequence
• Best Anime Song
• Best VA Performance (JP)
• Best Animation
• Best Film
• Best Continuing Series
• Best New Series
• Best Original Anime
• Best Character Design
• Best Drama
• Best Comedy
• Best Fantasy
• Best Action
• Best Romance
• Best Fight Scene
• Best Slice of Life
• Best Couple

Since this is the first time we can add/remove categories to fit what we have available.

I'll personally choose Best Romance and Best couple category since that's the one I'm most comfortable about.

If you interest choose a category or 2 or 3. We'll start with 2022 anime.

Anime of the year will be for last and we rotate amongst ourselves for each category.

Hmmm fantasy is the second genre I'm most confident about after romance, or third if we consider comedy separately.

We can leave it as it is though. Comedy is fine for me.
