Don Krieg was a bad example. Don’t compare top tiers to Krieg. Queen woke up 3 seconds later. Big mom woke up later on the ship which is not six seconds later. Big Mom destroys Queen with Haki, ur crazy if u think otherwise
Well you mentioned don kreig first.
Dude BM destroyed queen common. Where did BM used any haki........she even forget usage of df.... what makes you think she remembers how to use haki....

Lets not turn this into a tangent...I think you understand my point very well
Lets say Luffy start of story Luffy ( when he met zoro) didnt have his Devil fruit. And then got his devil fruit then compared to him learning haki then. Which one do you guys think would have given him a bigger power up?

She never used Haki. My point is Queen defeated her, not the other way. Don’t get me wrong Strength is important but with Haki, individuals can go further. That’s all I’m trying to say.

Haki. Because to be a devil fruit master you need to use it for several years or be taught it.

Either way he would follow the same route as Ace

The point is BM trashed queen only using physical strength......Good.......well obviously haki is a very powerful tool.....all I was saying to compare dfs to haki......fighters of equal strength should be considered......thats all

DF gives luffy so much flexibility but gomu gomu with out any gears is not that much of a powerful df assuming you are not giving him gears from the start.....give luffy let's say pika pika no mi......he would obviously be more powerful with it than haki....haki requires you to be at a good physical level....

A good thread my friend

They are overpowered but not necessarily a big powerup for the user especially not for characters who have already mastered a certain type of fighting since they might change the user's entire fighting style having to master a completely new style of fighting.
For weak people it's definitely a powerup regardless but for stronger ppl it depends on how well the fruit would work with his already established/mastered fighting style.
Like for example giving Zoro the rubber fruit won't make him more powerful rather the opposite but giving a brawler like Garp the rubber fruit would make him even stronger. Another example could be the pika fruit which is OP but giving Garp the pika (light) fruit for example wouldn't make him stronger either cause he would have to change his entire fighting style first in order to make proper use of it.
