Oda has done a repeated plot element in the story of one piece involving the Bb pirates and Sengoku.
We remember when we were first introduced to Sengoku in the 200s. The meeting between him and the Warlords. Involving Dofflamingo, Kuma and Mihawk. Then the truly peculiar incident happened.
Lafitte randomly appeared through a window of pangea castle. And was introduced to us by Tsuru who said he was a former west blue sheriff who was excessively violent. He told these people that bb deserved the new spot for the Warlord position. This was the first time sengoku, Dofflamingo and the others heard of Blackbeard and his interests to be a Warlord.
Everyone was surprised how this man randomly was able to come to the most sacred and protected place on the planet casually.
The 2 most significant people who witnessed this are Sengoku and Dofflamingo.
Then in Marineford. After the war against the WB pirates. The BB pirates appeared. Sengoku and the other members of the war were completely stunned that BB was there. Then Lafittes hand again was involved in this crazy situation. He explained to sengoku that he used his power to manipulate the guards.
Bb explains the Warlord position was only a means to get into impel down and recruit the world's worst criminals.
Dofflamingo is also shown and highlighted here and his excited at what the bb pirates are doing.
We also know Mihawk, Tsuru, Kuma were also at the war and likely witnessed the bb pirates here.
Oda again having Lafitte do some crazy manipulation to get himself into a very secured location that would otherwise be impossible.
And now we know Imu said the Holy land mariejois was in a sea of flames. Meaning someone is currently attacking Mariejois.
And i strongly believe like the last 2 times it's deeply tied to Lafitte.
1. Came into mariejois by himself, met sengoku Dofflamingo and Co and introduced bb as a candidate for Warlord. Used special abilities to enter this secure location
2. Came to Marineford with crew, met sengoku Dofflamingo and co revealed bb used Warlord status to get impel down subordinates. Used special abilities again to enter secure location
3. Comes to Mariejois with multiple crew members and reveals making the Hachinosu island a Kingdom was only to gain access to the Reverie and mariejois. And we will have Lafitte use his abilities to help orchestrate this.
Lafitte is the only BB pirate who oda has yet to reveal the name of his fruit. This is extremely significant. Every other member has their fruit name revealed.
He is a very peculiar member. Often doing individual missions by himself. When we first met the crew, he was the only one not with them on a separate mission.
And again in hachinosu with Garp he was the only member of the crew who wasn't there.
Oda has a special reveal coming for him. One that will greatly shock the likes of Sengoku, Tsuru, Dofflamingo and even Mihawk.
I believe we will learn Dofflamingos deep hatred for the Holy Knights and Garling who were the main celestials who didn't want to allow him back in Mariejois. They are among the primary targets of his Wrath and hatred. He obviously grew up around some of them and would have met many of them when he would return to mariejois occasionally as a Warlord.
The only ones who could have caused the Mariejois incident is the BB pirates. Dragon would never do this. Sabo just barely escaped alive from mariejois and is still recovering from his injuries from Imu from the last time we see him.
Dragon didn't go to Mariejois for Ginny. He would never do such a risky operation like this. Too many powerful people in there.
The BB pirates have several means to enter mariejois secretly and enter extremely deep and special territory within the Kingdom.
Catrina Devon, Caribou and Lafitte. And potentially even shiryuu could be placed in there.
She has the ability to turn into St Saturn. With this transformation she could enter mariejois easily without suspecting anything. No normal marine or celestial dragon will question the authority of St Saturn. The Admirals wouldn't suspect him either.
The only people who would definitely be able to see its a fake are Garling, other 5 Gorosei and Imu. But Devon could get extremely deep into the Kingdom long before she interacts with any of these people.
Lafitte can hypnotise anyone who causes trouble. And then with Caribou the entire bb pirates could be placed inside his body and jump out in mariejois.
We know the revolutionaries, Holy Knights and Bb pirates are naturally gonna play a major role in the final saga. And these 3 groups i believe will fight down the line.
In Mariejois i believe they with fight the Holy Knights, and the BB pirates will learn that Bonney is the child of one of them. This will be a call back to when the bb pirates were about to run away from Akainu. This will be to highlight that the HK are far more evil than even the crew with the worlds worst criminals. The marines imprison the level 6 guys but work for guys who commit far worse crimes than them.
It is believed Shamrock or Garling is the Father of Bonney and so r*ped Ginny
The interactions between these characters will be the most significant narratively within the final saga
