Blackbeard's theme is really cool, loved the way it was used with how he approached Law and the extra scenes they added, really gave it that epic POTC battle feel.
Shanks' theme is mid, dull, forgettable, underwhelming etc, kind of fitting actually ironically lmao. I expected a lot better for him and it would be so easier to do much better music for him, its not even funny.
Something like this for example could be great, especially from 1:40 onwards:
Other ones that could work:
(King Harald lmao)
(Although I also prefer the faster paced, metal covers of this song actually)
(I'm also purposely being harsher for agenda

Plus just looking at the example above, Katakuri got a GOD tier theme song that is FAR more memorable and thus iconic and he's far less important in the grand line scheme of things but a WAY better character regardless too, so he got what he deserved too thankfully. I'm so grateful for Toei for doing him justice at least.
They didn't even use the EPIC Luffys Awakening theme in the anime AFAIK, after ALL those months of waiting for it, what a fucking letdown.

Both sound great but I'm a real sucker for how imposing and godlike Shanks' theme sounds. I guess it's because I used to love listening to epic music back in the day.
BB's sounds dope as well. I think it fits his character with how energetic and menacing it sounds. It sounds a lot more pirate-y too. It barely loses out to Shanks fir me.

Toei legit cooked with the Kuri's theme. No other theme songs will ever be close to this man's theme.
I would have liked a fun, cool, upbeat theme for Lilith and or Atlas too but I've not seen the Egghead episodes yet so no idea what the music is like too.
But yeah they totally peaked with Katakuris theme ofc, aside from Germa's theme/the raid suit powering up music or w/e and Luffy's awakened theme. Can't think of anything else atm. Maybe Kidd's theme too.

Wano was great in the manga, and fantastic in the anime, to me, but I want WIT to just DO IT in the future, just knock it out of the park and make people go "Okay, One Piece, when portrayed properly, really is an artistic masterpiece".
I forgot to mention Sanjis and Frankys themes are God tier, they always make me feel good and then there's Overtaken and The Very Very Strongest ofc.
When Blackbeard and Shanks get their arcs, I hope for some more piratey, sea shanty type music as well as just epic, orchestral and Celtic/Norse for Shanks, although that will apply for Elbaph too naturally.
EXACTLY! I know the OST was leaked months in advance but that built up so much hype for it to play in the anime with Gear 5 FINALLY getting animated and then we didn't fucking get it! AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!
Why would do they do that to us!? Wano is forever cursed, still disappointing and crushing us even long after its eventually over thankfully!
YES! I'd love to be able to see Luffy using Adv CoC without getting a literal seizure over it LMFAO! Also all that DBS Aura, DBZ/DBS type nonsense with the typical Shonen exaggerated powercreep, death of logic flying around and such. I remember losing my shit when Jotaro suddenly started flying around in Jojo with a bit of actual aura too and that is extremely tame compared to what One Piece did then!
Hopefully they can give Shanks a much better theme song too lmfao. But I should stop digressing anyway as this is getting quite off topic ofc.
Toei did such a god tier depiction of Kizaru in Sabaody. Both the music and just the actual visual portrayal of him, the shading, the style, animation etc. They really did him "justice" lmao.
Given the previews of the return of Egghead too, they really made Kizaru look GODLY as I hoped and I hope they maintain that standard too when he fits Luffy.
But again thats another topic ofc lol, just had to chip that in though.

I personally want a more personal theme for Blackbeard, because the one we have currently feels more like a theme for the Blackbeard pirates as a whole then for the Commodore himself. Shanks's theme is good but it feels a bit outdated to me, he needs a new one as well, preferably with some viking themes to it.
