First of all, I never said Imu and the Gorosei are going down anytime soon. Garling will have plenty of time to shine.

Second, unlike the other Gorosei who would likely die if Imu is absorbed or loses his powers, Garling probably wouldn’t, since he hasn’t benefited from the immortality.

Third, Garling and Shamrock are major players in the final saga just like Imu, and we still don’t know if they have their own agendas.

Finally, Garling is tied to both Teach (=Xebec) and Shanks. He’ll eventually confront one of them and that’s where he’ll fall.
