Okay, I have 2 speculations of how BB can eat 2 devil fruits so I’m just going to say them all

Blackbeard is a cannibal
Okay, for starters let’s talk about it, as we all know Blackbeard is cruel and has a crew made up of the most evil people in the pirate world. And as we know from the flame fruit it respawned in a totally different place, all the way in dressrosa, and also back in punk hazard the axolotl devil fruit respawned as another fruit, a random place BUT as we know Blackbeard got his 2nd devil fruit power after killing whitebeard, RIGHT AFTER KILLING Whitebeard, it didn’t totally respawn in a totall6 different place like how ace’s did. So, Blackbeard had ro do something different, right? So, unlike other people in one piece Blackbeard is a ruthless and cruel person, who wouldn’t even go past the idea of eating someone else. PLUS while killing thatch since he ate the devil fruit before this would mean Blackbeard had to have had some way of getting the fruit, which would only be good with eating it. And as we know if you eat 2 devil fruits you die, maybe for what we know, blood or eating an already consumed devil fruit of a person is the cure. Also, luffy’s favorite food is obviously meat, animal meat, Blackbeard is meant to be a complete opposite of Luffy, and eating animal meat is seen as fine, no one bats an eye, eating human meat is not seen as fine, actually, it’s seen as one of the most evil things a human can do.

Okay, for my second theory this is a theory Ive had for like a year (keep in mind I started watching one piece in 2022-2023) and well, here’s the theory, Blackbeard can’t eat multiple devil fruits, he can steal their powers. As we know, blackbeard’s devil fruit can nullify the fruit abilities, correct? So why wouldn’t he be able to steal them when the person/thing is dead? Keep in mind stealing is also seen as pretty wrong, not exactly evil but taking something someone is very attached to (like a DF ability) is seen as wrong, like if I stole your baby from you would you be happy? Anyway, take Shiryu and absolom for example. We know that Shiryu has his fruit, absolom came to hachinosu for moria, but got killed. And soon after this Shiryu got his fruit, so Blackbeard killed absolom and sucked the ability out of him, and gave it to Shiryu. BB and his crew also went searching for strong DF users or DFs that would be useful to them, but not devil fruits, since they’re pretty rare, they searched for DEVIL FRUIT USERS, to give the abilities to his crew, which in fact, would be rather impossible since as I mentioned above, devil fruits usually respawn in a totally random place, where that’s a basket of mangos or inside a chest, you don’t just hunt people down for their devil fruits UNLESS you have a way to get the devil fruit easy.
