In impel down, the awakened zoans we saw were different from other devil fruit users. Their DFs seemed to stupify them, making them animalistic pawns of the WG.
I believe that Teach will do something similar to Koby, forcibly feeding him a zoan and awakening it via whatever method the SSG used on the jailer beasts. Ultimately, Teach will take away Koby's mind, turning him into his weapon. Essentially creating something of a reverse-pacifista. I think the reason the jailer beasts were so animalistic is because they were prematurely awakened. Kaido said awakening is when your mind and body catches up to your ability. I think vegapunk found a way to force a DF to awaken. What would happen if one's DF awakened, but their mind and body wasn't able to handle it? I think the jailer beasts are a good example of this.
What could this DF be? I think it will very likely be an ancient zoan, or possibly even a mythical zoan. Koby is supposed to be a future admiral, so I see Teach's experiment being Oda's way of giving him a power up and making him a serious fighter.
Ultimately, Teach will make jailer beast Koby fight Luffy in a sort of match similar to Luffy vs Bellamy. Manipulating Koby and turning him into a monster will absolutely enrage Luffy, making his fight with Teach one of the best fights in the series.
Koby will inevitably be saved by Vegapunk and will fight Teach briefly, as Momo did to Kaido in a few panels before Luffy resumed the fight. This will ultimately lead to Koby becoming a legendary marine, much as Garp did.
