Speculations Blackbeards Sister?

Hi, this thread is regarding the silhouette of the Blackbeards' original crew designs that we got during the drum island arc. When dalton remembered them.

Now I understand that Oda wasn't always spot on with his silhouette game, and it even became a meme later on, when we finally had big mom and Kaidous reveal and many more examples later on.

But there is a significant difference here. The one with Big Mom and Kaido was a few years apart until their full reveal. The Blackbeard reveal was just around the corner.

If we take a closer look though, neither of those Silouhettes resemble Doc Q in any shape or form. I know that doesn't have to mean anything, but stronger is also missing; no silhouetted animal or horse in that panel.

The character on the far right seems to resemble a typical Nami-looking female character that Oda likes to draw. Could that be the side profile of one of his twin sisters? Which we learnt Blackbeard had or still has in a concept art from Oda.

Maybe she was sick and on the verge of dying, and that's why he came to Drum Island originally, because it was known as a medically advanced country. To find some sort of cure. Perhaps she passed away shortly after and that's when Blackbeard learnt how important it is to have a Doctor, to never let that happen again. Maybe Oda still plans to bring them in, in a flashback later on.

What do you guys think? Big stretch?

I think it’s a stretch.

The designs weren’t fully finalised, but I think it’s easy enough to match them up with the initial five.

Q’s first with his hat and scythe hanging over his shoulder, then Burgess is the big guy, then Blackbeard, then Auger with his hat and gun, then finally Lafitte on the end as the skinny one.

I think his mother is likely to appear in flashback- especially if Buggy is Blackbeard’s brother- but the sisters might be cut concepts since they look too young to have been born when Rocks was alive.

You're right on a closer look the first one could really be Doc Q with his scythe. My initial thought went to it's someone holding a Sword first, but I don't recall any of them having one, so I somehow imagined that to be Lafitte just having a similar weapon as brooks, but the Silouhette wouldnt match either way because the End part of it doesn' match.

But see, then again, while I am writing this I looked at doc Q pictures. And we never saw him use his scythe with only one blade of his scythe out like the typical grim reaper. He has a double-bladed Scythe and that first silhouette would only show one, if any. And the top part of his scythe is never seen to be as long as in that Silhouette either. Also, why would he point the sharp part in his own direction?

Maybe I am making this too complicated for myself. I can't believe I am putting this much energy in silhouettes.



I guess the very last one on the right threw me off the most here. That's why I was thinking too much about this.




But, I like the idea of Blackbeard's mother getting some screen time. A marshall / rocks family tree would be awesome at some point.
