Theory Buccaneers are more than just human giant hybrids

I think if that's all buccaneers were, it wouldn't make sense for Oda to make them be a race. Because we already have large humans, like Big Mom, as well as normal giants. So why are human giant hybrids important enough to be a distinct race of their own?

Two things we can get from Saturn's words.
  1. Buccaneers aren't just any large humans, they are specific lineage of people who committed a grave sin against the world
  2. Kuma was the last of this race.

Moving on, it seems as if the world government might actually be afraid of the Buccaneer race.

Merely having buccaneer blood is enough for one to be enslaved. This is in grave contrast to the Ds, who while also being descendants of people who rebelled against the WG, don't actually seem to be persecuted in the OP world. This can be seen with Saul and Garp, both of whom were high ranking marines despite their D heritage. I think this also refutes the idea that Buccaneers are special solely because they know about Nika. Because if this was true, then a blood test alone wouldn't be enough to cause their enslavement. The fact that they are enslaved due to their blood means that there must be something special about buccaneer physiology itself that the WG fears.

This makes sense because when we look at other races that have been annihilated. Ones that come to mind are the 3 eye tribe and the lunarians, both who also seem to be near extinct. In both cases, you have races that have abilities that the WG fears. Lunarians have their near invincibility and 3 eyes are said to be able to read poneglyphs once their 3rd eye awakens.

So what is special about the blood of a buccaneer? well if they are descended from a people who made a grave sin against the world, I think we have a decent idea of who these people might be related to.

They are probably from the same tribe as Joyboy, as evidenced by the giant straw hat in Imu's freezer.

From this, I think that there is a very high chance that the reason why the WG fears them so much is because:
  1. They have a high potential with haki
  2. They possess VOAT
These are both characteristics of Luffy and hence likely characteristics of Joyboy. If these people are of the same race as Joyboy, its possible that they also have these characteristics, hence explaining why the WG fears them.

It wasn't enough for Kuma to simply become a Shichibukai, an ally of the WG. No, Saturn wanted to completely erase his consciousness. Why is this? Well if buccaneers really do have a strong talent for haki or VOAT, this would make perfect sense. After all, if Kuma has his consciousness, he might eventually become unstoppably powerful due to the haki talent buccaneers have.

Ultimately, I think we will see this talent first hand with S-Bear. The seraphim have some consciousness and hence its possible that they could eventually develop haki. I see Oda giving these abilities to S-Bear in order to emphasize the powers of a buccaneer and show what Kuma could have been if he wasn't handicapped by the WG.

I think in general the mixed races have immense potential in One Piece. Shirahoshi is probably a descendent of a Mermaid / Giant or Buccaneer Hybrid, and she is an ancient weapon.

Buccaneers aren't Mixed Race
They are Original Race that turned into Giants

Punk Hazard showed us that Gigantification is Scientifically Possible
Egghead showed us that Ancient People had more Advanced Technology
So it's safe to say that Oda is hinting of Giants being Result of Man-Made Power

However, it's clearly shown that WG always failed to create Perfect Giants, there are always some difects
Why? Cuz Test Subjects are unable to handle this Gigantification Process
Suggesting that there needs to be a Group of People who are compatible with it

And that's what Buccaneers exist for, They are our Answer to Long Mystery that started since Punk Hazard
Long ago, Buccaneers existed before Giants, They were simply Superhuman, and were compatible with Someone's Ability to turn People into Giants

Which was also Hinted when Kid reached Elbaf & commented on how Fish there are bigger than usual, it's Oda indirectly telling us that there is something or someone in Elbaf who is "Source of Gigantification" & is making those around him "Bigger"

After Giants Race was Created, remaining Superhuman People who refused to become so left Elbaf, just like some Samurai left Wano & established themselves in East Blue, these People came to be known as "Buccaneers" (Actually this Name is another term for Pirates, which is another indication that They are People who abandoned their Original Home, hinting at how They refused to become Size of Giants)

This is also why WG wanted Kuma specifically to be Cloned, and it's why Bonney blamed Saturn specifically for Kuma's Experiment, cuz He is Science Leader & probably the one who realized that Kuma needs to be Cloned, why? For the same thing that They always dreamed of which is "Gigantification" (As Law confirmed, WG was always obsessed with creating Giants, and Numbers for example are like Hundreds of Years Old)

Kuma Clones are only Group compatible with Gigantification Process, but if Strength & Size are what they seek, why were Numbers considered Failures? Being Dumb isn't that big of a deal, if Pirates can order them to Fight, then WG can do it too

This shows that WG are obsessed with Gigantification because they want to create a Specific Kind of Power that was achieved by a single Giant in History, that's none other than "Oars The Devil/Majin", who is Oars The First, what happened to Oars The Second? He was the one used to create Numbers as shown by his Skeleton in Punk Hazard, what about Oars The Third? It's Little Oars Jr. we saw in Marineford

But again, Oars was Extremely Strong, possibly Strongest (At least Physically), what did He also have alongside this Strength that WG are trying to re-create? Something that wasn't Inherited by Oars II or Oars III, it was Inherited by an Outsider

It's none other than Big Mom, She is the one who Inherited Oars Strength and what? His Armor as well
Big Mom's Body is covered in an Invisible Armor Suit (Haki Barrier) that makes her Near-Invulnerable to Non-Internal Attacks
And that's what WG so desperately want to create

And i don't need to prove this, such Invincibility can also be found in Lunarians, and are WG interested in them? Yes, so badly
No only They hunted them, not only They experimented on King, not only They turned that Pacifista Program into Seraphim who are Lunarians
It's clear that WG's Goal have always been about creating Ultimate Army of Invincible Soldiers

And this all ties together, Lunarians is a Name for Angels who Serve God, and as i said, in Elbaf there is Someone who turned People into Giants (At least long ago), and Dorry/Brogy confirmed that Elbaf does indeed have a God They worship, who is their Ruler

So Lunarians are actually Servants of Elbaf God, He created both Giants & Lunarians, one were given Size, while others were given Wings & Invincibility, but what happens when Someone steals this Source of Power that made this possible & consumes it? They would gain Ridiculous Amount of Strength & Perma Barrier, and that's what Oars did, He is actually a Kid from Wano who turned into an Oni after going to Elbaf & stealing this Source of Power (Haki-Related)

But this Source wasn't Inherited by his Child or Grandchild, instead just like Haoshoku Haki, it was Inherited by someone else, and that's Big Mom who is basically Human Version of Oars (Either Comparable or Inferior Strength), but what about the Flames Part? They were instead Inherited by Sanji

It all might seem like Separate Stories, but it's really just a Single Lore that ties Wano with Oars with Lunarians with Buccaneers with Giants with WG with SHs with Moon People (Who also represent People who refused to become Lunarians & instead went to live on the Moon)

They are probably related to the D.
