Buggy can’t be pirate king because that’s luffy’s dream. But I do think he can be king of the world.
I think it’s very likely that before the WG, there was a king who sat on the empty throne. I think Buggy is the direct descendant of that king. The natural inheritor of the empty throne. Like Jon Snow.
I think Teach is also from that lineage. But he’s more like the Danaerys. His claim to the throne isn’t as solid as Buggy.
I think in the final war, Buggy’s lineage will be revealed and he will take his seat as king of the world.
However, I think this will be a purely ceremonial role. Like the King of the UK. Dragon will probably ensure the reverie has direct control over the WG after the CDs are gone.
