I did a wrong title before

Anyway, I'm a huge believer of losing conquerors haki. You have to stay ambitious to keep it, or don't laze off or give up. My main people who i think lost it are buggy, mihawk, Moria and crocodile.

I have my explanation on why I think these characters lost it down below
They all have similar stories, all them were once great pirates who gave up cause their enjoyment was crushed.

Moria and crocodile got beaten by kaido and Whitebeard so they gave up and decided to just stay hidden, corrupting 1 island and not making that big of a name for themself and they both got lazy and stopped caring about their strength

For mihawk he is still strong but it gets lonely at the top, thats why he trained zoro so he could have a worthy opponent like shanks was before he lost his arm. Mihawk lost his ambition but I think gained it back when cross guild was formed, he now has a purpose that he didn't have before.

Then you have buggy. I think losing Roger was Buggy's biggest loss, Roger was like a dad to him, buggy is a tsunedere towards Roger and shanks. Buggy definitely did try making a name for himself, but he gave up after Roger died

🤔 at first I thought no but given that Haki especially conquerors is tied pretty closely with spirit and will power i guess its not outside the realm of possibilities

Maybe if someone loses their spirit or their will they lose their conquerors or it gets a lot weaker

Hey maybe Moriah used to be a conqueror before Kaido broke his spirit

Whitebeard had it yet never used it once in Marineford.

Putting will and ambition aside, you can probably lose CoC by simply just aging and getting older. Basically its still there dormant in the person but he can’t use it anymore due to his weaker body.

Gaban in the latest chapter even confirms that your body has to adapt to CoC.

"you have to stay ambitious"
cut to Rayleigh living like a hobo drinking himself away, gambling, etc.
He still didn't give up, like he just chilled, not completely gave up. He's an old dude, like he's still ready to throw hands, he didn't completely just lose hope on everything and become a broken version of his old self like Moria

This used to be a novel idea to me but I don't think I'm onboard with it nowadays. If someone can essentially lose their will to conqueror then were they ever strong enough to be considered a true conqueror to begin with? Would they even have unlocked it at all? Just seems like a waste if you ask me. Being a conqueror is all about having an unshakeable will and if these guys were able to be shaken badly enough to lose it then they shouldn't have had it at all.
