Speculations Captain John and Hachinose Treasure

#1
Captain John is based on Long John Silver from treasure island. In the book John Silver is one of three people who ends up with Captain Flint’s Treasure. The other two spend the treasure right away, but John Silver hides and saves his.

In God Vally we saw that two other people ended up with some of the treasure, Big Mom and Kuma. Big Mom and Kuma “spent” their treasure right away by feeding or eating the DF they got. If this continues to align with treasure island’s plot it would mean John got the rest of the treasure at God Vally and hid it from the rest of Rocks. Oda already said in an SBS that John hid an amazing treasure from his crew and was eventually killed by them for betraying them.

John steeling Hachinose’s sacred treasure during God Vally could be this amazing treasure that John took and was eventually killed by the Rocks remnants after God Vally.

It might be the last Poneglyph, as it is a treasure that could be shared by all pirates if held in the communal island of Hachinosu. The Devil Fruits were just rewards in the tournament that made it all the more tempting.

Big Mom did say she'd snatch the treasure up and ended up having no less than 3 Poneglyphs in her possession... Maybe this one got away... Everyone else only has rubbings except for Kaidos 1 Poneglyph he got from sitting on Wano.

Buggy uses the pose to Captain Johns Treasure in a desperate bid to shore up finances, only to arrive at the missing Poneglyph no Marked Man needed.

Real-Life Pirate King was often called "John Avery" or "Jack Avery"
Captain John was probably also Inspired by Pirate "John Rackham"
Who is also known as "Calico Jack"

Brook's Captain was Named "Calico Yorki"
And Roger's Ship was Named "Oro Jackson"

What's interesting is that Calico Jack/John was known for having Two Famous Female Crewmembers
Named "Mary Read" & "Ann Bonney"

Roger's Ship conveniently have Two Females as it's Figurehead (Mermaids) & Oda talked about Significance of Figureheads before i think
Also Oda confirmed that if Roger had a Daughter, it would have been Named "Ann" (Forgot if it's mentioned in Manga or not)
Not to mention that both Women were Pregnant during their Final Days (Just like Roger's Wife & Bonney's Mother from Unknown Father)

Another thing to Note is that in Pre-One Piece One-Shot depicting Luffy with another Nami-Like Character
Oda Named her "Ann" & her Treasure was a Magical Bird, which is very interesting, cuz Roger's Ship had a Mysterious Giant Egg

I have No Theory concerning this, but i believe in One Piece there is definitely something going on between:

Roger
Oro Jackson Ship & Giant Egg
Brook's Captain Yorki (Who isn't Confirmed Dead btw)
Captain John
A Female Character Named "Ann"
Portgas D. Rouge & Bonney's Parents
Pirate Island Treasure

God's Valley & what happened after it are just the Final Acts of Roger's Journey
I believe there is Bigger Story of when Roger was a Rookie

I love where this is going! Just want to clarify one thing:

John created his own crew as a Captain after Rocks Pirates dissolved and was killed by them. As cool as it sounds for Rocks remnants to go after him, it might contradict what Oda said about his history.

Big Mom had a total of 3 poneglyphs but only one road. I don't know if Brook made rubbings of the other two and if he did, then we need to see Robin read over them and explain some bits of lore. Seems like a wasted opportunity if that doesn't happen.

As for Buggy, it remains to be seen if he even bothered to look for the treasure during the timeskip or if only now is the right moment. I feel like he probably has not found it yet because there was a need to build up his mercenary dispatch group on Emptee Bluffs island and become more influential. I really hope we get some closure.

100% agreed. Roger had to redo his entire journey more or less after learning about the existence of the Ancient Kingdom and Poneglypths + their importance on Lodestar Island. Much of that time was also spent just trying to figure out who could decipher the forbidden texts. Before that, it seems he was just another pirate interested in adventuring (and probably hunting treasures), but without this overarching goal that he would possess later on.

There is a lot of opportunities for Oda to go with a smallish flashback centered around Roger as we approach closer to the final island and its lore. It can also connect a lot of old plotlines together and feature not just Rocks but also before he met people like Oden.

I think Rocks Members went after John after he made his own crew

Something else I thought about when it comes to the possible treasures that were stolen:

It's reffered to as "the jewel of pirate island" or something similar, implying a singular thing. Now if it was a Devil Fruit it can't be one of the fruits we've seen so far- it means his treasure was never hidden/lost (which it was). In addition, if he stole a Devil Fruit- why not eat it himself or sell it?

Him not using the treasure also strikes me as odd. It can't be bog standard treasure or a devil fruit, because it remained there (and is implied to still be there).

Maybe Captain John didn't like the idea of a world with Xebec on top, and hid it from him.

Or maybe they were waiting for a certain someone to eat the fruit, like Shanks was doing with the Gomu Gomu.
