Buggy wants Captain John’s treasure. He tried looking for it in a skull shaped island pre skip, but it was the wrong island. He now has that arm band thing that Luffy gave him that is the map to John’s treasure or something
Teach is ruler of hachinosu. Given what we know about the Rocks pirates, this is probably the skull shaped island that Buggy was looking for.
Lastly, Kid seemingly inherited John’s DF and might even be related to him as they kinda have a similar face and are both called “Captain”. If John actually had the magnet fruit, it’s likely that it is needed in order to access John’s treasure.
So yeah all 3 have part of what it takes to get the treasure. All 3 also are adversaries or Shanks. Oda is clearly setting up a team up here. Using buggy’s map, Hachinosu, and the magnet fruit, the trio will get John’s treasure.
They can then use that wealth to create the military nation Crocodile envisioned. All of which could serve to setting up Teach as an EoS villain capable of rivaling the WG in power. He will have:
