Manga Discussion Case Closed (Detective Conan)

#1
Are any of you following Detective Conan?
I am a big fan of this manga series, as I like mysteries.
I read books like Sherlock Holmes and Miss Maple, etc.
I am worried that the author will pass away before the series completed.

I was a huge fan of the Anime when it first aired on television during my school days alongside One Piece, Dragonball, Pokémon, Digimon, BeyBlade, you name them. After a couple of years, because they stopped dubbing the episodes in the country where I live, I lost interest and stopped watching.

Thanks to a friend of mine who dragged me into the premiere of a Detective Conan movie in the theaters, I kind of regained my interest again. Everything was perfect, from the suspenseful music to the voice actors, especially the one from the guy from the black organization, Gin. Such a badass character. After that, I tried to pick up the manga where I left, and I was surprised that the Story hadn't come to an end by then. It must have been around 2017, and it is still going.

It's only natural to ask questions like, What happens if something happens to the author of the series? Well, I used to know a different Manga where exactly this worst-case scenario occurred, the Mangaka had passed away, but the assistants finished the work. According to them, they were told the details and the end beforehand.

Same thing, actually, with One Piece. It was said that Oda told a select few people the end of the story and the path leading there, like his Editors. So rest assured, I think Detective Conan will have a similar backup plan.

I know this still would have some bitter taste for some fans because of things like, Oh, but what if the mangaka suddenly changed things along the way that they would have implemented and made some last minute changes to the story? All of these authentic things would be lost.

But, I am certain the general idea, of how It's supposed to end is passed on.

Let's be optimistic and hope for a grand finale that all of us can enjoy.

Oh, and by the way, if you haven't read that already, There was an Interview in 2022 between the Mangaka Gosho Aoyama and Eichiiro Oda, both of whom asked about each other's work and gave some cool insights also regarding the end of their stories, for both detective Conan & One Piece. You can easily find it on Goggle. Many sites have the whole thing uploaded or summarized.

one of my all times favorites , unfortunately the author doesn't want to get to the point already and keep stretching it out
