Future Events Cavendish, The Sun God, Garling and the Endgame

#1
Tl;Dr Cavendish represents the white horse (often a sign of sovereignty) that carries the sun god and worlds saviour in many mythologies; the knight that slays great monsters/wanders in search of great deeds to show their virtue across European lit.
He's the opposite of Garling the literary archetype of the "black knight."
As the head of the fleet and Garling the head of the Holy Knights with multiple other parallels they will be eachothers endgame opponents.

Cavendish's epithet is white horse, he rides a white horse, his ship the sleeping white horse of the forest has the figurehead of a white horse, and Hakuba means "White Horse."

In mythology the White Horse is often associated with carrying the Sun God (such as Suryu in hinduism amongst others) and carrying the worlds savior in end times; similarly Cavendish carried Luffy partway to Doflamingo and interacted the closest with Luffy out of the fleet, almost as a right hand; he was also originally conceived of by Oda as a former rival of Ace's another figure associated with the sun.

The white horse has is also a symbol of sovereignty, which as a former prince makes sense but dually as representing Luffy as the Pirate King and Cavendish embodies the Knight Errant/white knight in European lit.

"In more than one tradition, the white horse carries patron saints or the world saviour in the end times (as in Judaism, Christianity, and Islam), is associated with the sun or sun chariot (Ossetia) or bursts into existence in a fantastic way, emerging from the sea or a lightning bolt."

"As a rare or distinguished symbol, a white horse typically bears the hero- or god-figure in ceremonial roles or in triumph over negative forces. Herodotus reported that white horses were held as sacred animals in the Achaemenid court of Xerxes the Great (ruled 486–465 BC),[2] while in other traditions the reverse happens when it was sacrificed to the gods."

"The name Hakuba which means white horse was derived by the shape of a horse of snow on the mountain side during spring time. History shows traders following the famous Salt Road from the Sea of Japan to Matsumoto who would stop in the Hakuba valley overnight to rest."

CAVENDISH AND HIS CONNECTIONS TO THE CELESTIAL DRAGONS

-Cavendish is the exiled prince of the "Bourgeois Kingdom" which has the same etymology as Mary Geoise in Bourgeoise.

-Cavendish in half and half and Imu also have a similar speech pattern.

-"Cavendish’s violent alter ego Hakuba is referred to as a カマイタチ/kamaitachi by Bastille. A kamaitachi is a Japanese yokai that rides on or takes the form of a whirlwind or razor wind and slices up people as it passes, which matches exactly with Hakuba’s speed and style of combat."

This is probably the most consequential and one of the more/most explicit Yokai reference pre-Gorosei/Imu and it's likely that Garling is based on a yokai as well; I'm at least convinced from watching this theory.

The Yokai that Garling is likely associated with is a moon Yokai known for enchanting beauty that's hard to look away from; which contrasts Hakuba's beastly self and the ways that conflicts with Cabbage's actual person.

-Cavendish parallels Doflamingo as a blonde cast from royalty/privilege with a dark side in Hakuba.

The "Heavenly Demon-" and "Hakuba" which translates to "White Horse" as stated above.

-That is emphasized with their similar cynical outlook on humanity- Cavendish's quote in the first image being from chapter 704 and Doflamingo's from chapter 725 in Momo's flashback to Mingo brutalizing gladiator.

Cavendish's moment in the Colloseum was a direct rebuke of what Doflamingo foisted on Rebecca/the culture he constructed and showed their difference despite the mirror dialogue/shared cynicism.

-Cabbage was also the only gladiator to make it to the top of the castle/to Doflamingo and actually lock eyes with him.

Cavendish another moment in Dressrosa where he expresses disgust for the ways Doffy treats the “rank and file” soldiers in his army; Cavendish will similarly contrast Garling.

If Cavendish fights Garling it'll be a clash of two "beauties" one formerly and with an actually abhorrent spirit and Cavendish as actually valiant at heart.
Two different outlooks on the world and high positions representing the new and old orders.
Cavendish's ambitions are high and his real world inspiration (Thomas Cavendish) is an important pirate/privateer.
To live up to his boasts and the very premise of his character he must be significant going forward and deserves a matchup worthy or his other half and individual skill.

With Bartolomeo bumbling with Shank's and likely being left with an arc of redeeming himself from his misapplied fanaticism; which goes along with his inner monologue pledging to get stronger and one day be worthy of serving Luffy in Dreasrosa.
With Sai and Leo pwning Charloss and Hajrudin appearing in the Ohara flashback and with a path set forward to surpass Dory and Broggy and become king of the giants; you have to wonder why Oda's playing Cavendish's future so quietly.
I think it's too tied to endgame material/lore and now we're set to see the mysrties of Cabbage expanded on as he sails to the fore as one of Luffy's retainers.

And after writing all of this I realized that we know for a fact that Luffy or at least Luffy in Nika form is inspired by Hanuman from Hinduism and that Hanuman has deep ties to Surya the Sun God.

And that Sun God's chariot is driven by seven white horses; Cavendish has a handful of horse allusions/dual personhood.

But also the Grand Fleet (an exclusive club despite claims otherwise) has 7 captains no more no less.

This is another possible connection.

An explanation I was given on Hanuman:

"Hanuman/anjaneya is surya's disciple, when hanuman was a kid, he tried to eat the sun because he thought the sun was a mango, to which the lord of the devas, indra had to strike him down and render his powers null, hanuman later in life regains those powers after a profound realization
Like an awakening, you see? hanuman realises the full potential of his powers after that realization and its almost like life is poured back into him for the purpose of what he wants to achieve."
